The poster boy for a minimalist closet is none other than Steve Jobs as illustrated in the picture below.
Maintaining a minimalist closet saves a lot of time. There are many celebrities and successful people who take this approach.
If not wearing a suit and a tie, Jay Leno is often seen wearing a jeans shirt and a jeans pant. Not that I recommend this look to anyone. Jay Leno thinks it works for him and that’s all it matters, I guess.
Angelina Jolie also likes to keep her closet very minimal. In an interview with Vogue titled, “The Other Angelina“, Jolie talked how her closet has mostly black, black and black.
“As Brad’ll tell you—and my kids—apparently Mommy only wears black,” she says. Because she was a Goth, right? No, she says, it’s utilitarian, it’s practical: “I like to get up so every pair of pants goes with every top, every dress goes with every shoe. I’ve a very tiny closet. Brad’s always laughing at me. Some days, yes, I have the nightgown that looks like a dress that I can sleep in and pick the kids up at school. And maybe take a meeting if I switch into heels.”
This approach does not work for anyone and if it did then many shops will close. Nevertheless, Jerry Seinfeld advocates for a universal outfit for everyone in this video clip.
For those of you who are stretched for time and would want to make life a little bit easier then try this tip on and see how it goes. I have been thinking about it for more than an year and one day go the route of Steve Jobs. Black shirt on blue jeans and maybe that’s the secret for innovation like Apple. Just kidding!
